“We were introduced to Gwen through a friend of a friend of a friend (!) and, when I look back now, I know it was written in the stars. One video call with Gwen and straight away we knew she was "the one", we never spoke with another wedding planner.

From that first phone call Gwen just knew what we wanted. She sent us a proposal shortly after our first meeting and the "curveball venue" she included was the one we picked. We'd talked about getting married on Lake Como before we spoke with Gwen but hadn't mentioned this to her, only that the venue must be on the water. Gwen specialises in the South of France, so when she suggested Villa Erba on Lake Como, even though she'd never planned a wedding there before, we knew it was meant to be.

Gwen planned a 3 day event for us including welcome cocktails and canapés the day before and a brunch the day after the wedding. From the outset no idea, request or suggestion was too much for her. Even the ideas we made and later decided to turn down, Gwen looked into everything we suggested. She recommended our photographer, videographer and hair and makeup artists and each and every one were incredible, this woman clearly has connections!! Gwen's assistants were also fabulous, an extension of Gwen herself and equally as warm, organised and reassuring on the weekend.

We visited the venue together twice, the first time to see the site itself and the second time to meet the vendors and plan the final details. Gwen organised everything flawlessly and the feedback to Gwen from everyone we worked with along the way proved she wasn't just amazing to us, but to everyone she came into contact with.

Gwen wasn't only our wedding planner, she was also our officiant, and we couldn't have asked for anyone more perfect for the role. She told our story beautifully, evoking both laughter and tears from us and our guests, and we were both touched by her words and the thought she put into our ceremony. She really listened to everything we told her and retold it effortlessly.

The weekend went perfectly, even better than we'd hoped for, and all our guests commented on how amazing it was. It's now a week later and, although I'm sad it's all over, I'm so happy we've met someone who, I hope, will stay in our lives as a friend for many years to come.
